ABOUT US

The Church of the Good Shepherd, located near Shilin station in Taipei, Taiwan is a unique, English-language multicultural parish. We are a congregation of Taiwanese, Australian, British, Hong Kong, Nigerian, Singaporean, South African, US, and many other nationalities. While some members are “cradle Episcopalians,” we also include many Anglicans from around the world, as well as those from mainline or liturgical traditions that worship with us while in Taiwan.

LEADERSHIP

The English congregation is a sister congregation to the Taiwanese congregation, which worships in Mandarin. There are two priests, Rev. Keith Lee, our rector, and Rev. Dr. Herbert Barker, our priest-in-charge, who leads the English congregation. In addition we have an executive committee for the English congregation, and a shared vestry together with the Taiwanese congregation.

Get Involved

Many of our members come primarily to worship or for the community. We always welcome people to help in worship as liturgists or readers, with collecting offering, or passing out hymnals. We also welcome musicians, teachers, and others to offer their talents.
